Imagine the protective top layer of your skin as a brick wall - your skin cells are the bricks and the lipids are the mortar. Without these lipids acting as the 'mortar' for our 'brick wall', cracks start to form, and dermatological issues can occur. When these lipids are depleted, the skin may no longer be a solid surface. This delivery method helps to provide a non-occlusive, non greasy structure over the skin.

Traditional creams and lotions can be highly occlusive due to their greasy nature. This can trap active ingredients. which can make the skin unable to access the beneficial ingredients as efficiently. Additionally, moisturisers that occlude the skin can blocks the pores, which disrupts the skin’s normal physiological processes, such as perspiration, which can negatively impact the thermoregulatory function of the skin. Finally, occlusive moisturisers can result in excessive moisture build-up on the skin surface, which can attracts germs and lead to maceration of the skin.

LIPO²® technology is a uniquely patented biotechnology exclusive to the PodoExpert range.

LIPO²® technology is comprised of lipids that mimic those found naturally in the skin. These are called biomimetic lipids, which means that they have the same shape as the natural lipids in our bodies, and are thus able to fit properly into the holes in the wall of the stratum corneum (which is the formal name of the protective barrier of the skin). These lipids fill in the lipid lamellar bilayer and actually cause a reorganisation of the protective layer of skin, the stratum corneum, to help close gaps in this protective layer.

Enough to ensure proper immersion of the LIPO²® lipids into the skin.

These fabulous products will soak into the skin very quickly and very easily. Taking enough product to ensure proper immersion of the LIPO²® lipids into the skin is important. For an adult, we recommend dispending an amount that is approximately the size of a 20 cent coin. This will likely allow for complete saturation of the foot and lower leg. If you have a larger surface area to cover, then try increasing to a 50 cent coin.

✨PodoExpert moisturisers contain active ingredients that perform a keratolytic function. If any skin irritation occurs then please consult with your health care professional.

Start by making sure that you shake the container very well.

You will then need to spray the foam into your hand with the container upright. Tilting the can forward, or turning it upside down does not allow the gas and liquid to properly dispense. Therefore, always keep the can perfectly upright when dispensing the foam.

✨Remember to use the product twice per day for the first four weeks. If irritation occurs discontinue use, or consult with your health care professional.

PodoExpert products are extremely fast absorbing and non-greasy.

Just moments after application they soak deep into the skin. This allow for socks, shoes and even compressions socks/stockings can all be donned immediately after application.

If used twice per day, then between 6-8 weeks* of usage is expected.
